Cranberry & Rosemary Sangria……..

Cranberry & Rosemary Sangria! With Thanksgiving this week and the fast approaching holiday party season I thought it would be fun to share one of my favorite holiday drinks with you!  You are going to love this tasty drink and to top it off it is so festive and pretty…the rosemary and cranberry bring the the holiday colors to your glass!  Disclaimer I reserve this drink for the ladies because do men really want a pretty fruity drink?  This beautiful sangria is perfect for serving at your family Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners, holiday brunch, fun girls get together…

Ingredients:

1 Granny Smith apple
1 Braeburn apple

¼ cup sugar (more, for garnish)
1 heaping Cup Fresh cranberries

Large Sprig rosemary
1/2 cup white grape juice
1 Bottle Pinot Grigio
1 Can club soda

Directions:

  • Chop apples in small cubes
  • In a large pitcher, combine all of the ingredients
  • Mix well, so that the sugar fully dissolves
  • Place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill

While your sangria chills you can make the garnish ~ to do this, simple place about 1/2 cup of granulated sugar in a shallow bowl, lightly wet the rosemary and then give it a good shake to remove any excess water.  Roll the sprigs in the sugar until they are coated as you please.  Once the pitcher has chilled for about an hour, it should be ready to serve – absolutely gorgeous, right?
To add a touch of festive elegance try serving your sangria in these gold fizz stemless wine glasses –  they are so much fun!!
